Court Day March 30th

I woke up and ate breakfast again with the family. Today Oliver had to got to court because about 6 month ago he was caught by a cop for over acclerating. He hadn't been drinking but the cop arrested him and took him to jail. The crummy part was Oliver had to take pay a bunch of money and fees and had to go to court.

Rose and I took him to court and left him there with his lawyer. We then went to the mall and looked around for about three hours. We didn't buy anything but we did stop to have tea and talk about life. After about three hours we picked up Oliver. Unforunately he lost his case. The judge took away his license for six months and made him pay a fee of $400 NZ. It was sad because he really didn't do anything wrong. Unforunately he was dealing with a really corrupt police officer, who lied on the stand and claimed "his over acceraltion could have been dangerous in the area he was in". Basically, Oliver was in downtown Auckland taking his friends who had a few drinks home and blew some steam off his wheels. He wasn't going that fast but a police officer arrested him and claimed that he did "accessive accleration". Oliver was pretty disappointed and angry so the car ride home was very quite. After about an hour or so things got better.

We ate a late lunch and headed to Olivers family's friend house who exports flowers, kiwis, persimmons and other fruits in vegetables to our coutries such as Hong Kong. The green houses were really cool and the flowers were absolutely beautiful. I even got to try the local fruit fejoa and got a great picture with the kiwi fruit. After our adventure to the farm, Oliver is a professional trainer so he showed me some weight lifting moves to try back home. After our session Rose and Dave made us dinner... On the menu was muton (lamb), pumpkin, bread, salad, and potatoes. I don't normally eat meat but I thought gosh I am in NZ so I might as well try some lamb since it is NZ grown muton (yes dad you would be proud!) I was a little bit gamy and fatty, but overall not bad. For dessert we had left over aprcoits with scone... Yummy... Then watched some TV and went to bed.
